Direction & Intent

This is where we are. This is where we are going.

This page is not about services we currently offer. It is about what we are working toward and why. If you are a family, a commissioner, a social worker, a council, a community organisation, a charity, or someone who believes the care system can do better, this page is for you.

Why This Page Exists

Most care providers do not tell you what they are building.

They tell you what they have. We think that is a mistake.

We are a new organisation. We have been honest about that. What we have right now is a founder with fifteen years of clinical experience, a clear set of values, and a small team that believes getting it right for one person at a time is how you change anything.

But we also have a direction. A set of things we are working toward deliberately and carefully. Not because they would look good. Because we have seen the gaps they would fill and we cannot unsee them.

The Gap We Are Building Toward

The part the system was not built to catch.

Ayoola Majeks has spent fifteen years working across the health and care system. In that time the same pattern repeated itself across different settings, different services, and different parts of the country.

Clinicians are trained to treat what is in front of them. The mental and personal side of a person's experience — how they are coping, what they are frightened of, what they need to feel like themselves — falls outside most clinical training. It is not missed out of indifference. It is missed because the system was not built to catch it.

That gap is what this organisation was built to address. Not to replace clinical care. To sit alongside it and hold what it cannot.

That is not a claim about what we have already achieved. It is a statement about what every decision we make is pointed toward.

Coming

Transition Age Work

One of the gaps Ayoola Majeks has watched most closely is the transition from children's to adult services.

Young people with mental health needs, complex needs, or care needs approaching eighteen face a system change that is rarely handled well. CAMHS discharges. Adult services have different thresholds. The support that existed disappears before the replacement arrives. Families are left holding everything during the gap.

Ayoola Majeks has seen this from the clinical side. She knows what falls into that gap and who gets hurt by it.

Providing genuinely good transition age support — for young people moving from children's to adult services — is one of the things we are actively working toward. It is not available now. We will not offer it until we can do it properly. But it is not an afterthought. It is closer to the original reason this organisation exists.

When we are ready, it will be here.

Building the Right Team

Everything we are building depends on having the right people.

Not just people with the right qualifications, though that matters. People with the right values. People who notice the mental and personal side of the people they support. People who stay steady when things are hard. People who understand that this work is about the whole person, not just the task list.

We are building a pool of carers and support workers across North Yorkshire who meet that standard. We are doing it carefully and without rushing. Because placing the wrong person with a vulnerable adult to meet a target or fill a rota is exactly the kind of thing we were built not to do.

The team we are building will make everything else on this page possible.

Partnerships

Community and Partnerships

We cannot fill every gap alone. We do not intend to try.

We are looking to build relationships with community organisations, charities, NHS teams, and local authority services across North Yorkshire who share our belief that there is more the system could do for the people it serves.

If you work in or alongside the care system and you recognise the gaps we are describing, we would like to talk to you. Not to sell you something. To find out whether there is something worth building together.

For Decision Makers

For commissioners, social workers, councils and decision makers.

Here is the plain version.

We are building a clinically led, values driven homecare provider in North Yorkshire, with a founder who understands the system from the inside and a clear view of where the unmet need is greatest.

We are not promising scale before we have proven quality. We are building the foundation properly first. The direction is clear and the intent is serious.

If you want to understand more about what we are building and how we plan to get there, we are happy to have that conversation.

We are at the beginning.

We know that. We are not pretending otherwise anywhere on this page or anywhere else.

But beginnings are where decisions get made that determine everything that follows. The values you start with. The standards you refuse to drop. The people you choose to build with. The gaps you decide are worth trying to fill.

We have made those decisions carefully. We are building something we believe in.

If you believe in it too, we would like to hear from you.
